Aam Ka Halwa
Dish out and garnish with silver foil to enjoy this quick and nutritious halwa recipe.
Mangoes (medium) 3
Sugar 1 cup
Semolina ½ cup
Khoya ½ cup
Almond as desired
Pistachios as desired
Dalda VTF Banaspati 4 tbsp
Wash and peel the mangoes, cut into small pieces.
Soak the almonds and pistachios in warm water for ten minutes, peel and cut into slivers.
Sift semolina, shift to a bowl and microwave for 4 – 5 minutes on low speed to roast and fragrant.
In a clean wok, cook the mango pieces and sugar over low heat. Stir occasionally, cooking for 5 – 7 minutes.
When the sugar starts to melt, slowly add the semolina while stirring.
After adding the semolina, gradually add Dalda VTF Banaspati and stir fry.
When it starts to look like halwa and the ghee separates, add the khoya, almonds and pistachios. Remove from heat.
