Khajoor Ka Halwa
Dish out and sprinkle with khoya to enjoy this nutritious halwa.
Dates ½ kg
Milk 2 cups
Semolina 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Dalda VTF Banaspati 1 cup
Wash and de-pit the dates, soak in milk for 10 minutes.
Add sugar in 2 cups of water and cook until the sugar dissolves.
Microwave semolina for 7 minutes on low speed. In a wok heat Dalda VTF Banaspati over low heat for 2 – 3 minutes, add semolina, sugar and cover.
Cook over low heat till semolina is tender and water dries.
Add in dates and stir fry until it mashes.
Finally stir fry whilst pouring Dalda VTF Banaspati to the sides of the wok till the ghee separates.
