Add corn flour to 1 litre of milk, add sugar, whisk well and let it simmer on slow flame, keep stirring it with a wooden spoon till it thickens, switch off the flame.
In a semi deep flat casserole add custard and place cake slices on the top, pour hot milk on top and squeeze 2-3 tbsp of lemon juice.
Add strawberries on the top, sprinkle almonds and then put fresh cream on top,
Repeat the procedure; top it up with fresh cream, strawberries, almonds and jelly Keep it in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving.
You can make this trifle with your favorite fruits like peaches, mangoes, mixed fruits like plums, berries and apricots other than strawberries.
