Step by Step method

  • Step 1

Dry the fish with a kitchen towel and pat it with salt.

  • Step 2

Heat Dalda Cooking Oil in a wok, and once it is medium heated, deep fry the fish until golden brown.

  • Step 3

In a deep pan, heat Dalda Cooking Oil. Add ginger garlic paste and stir with a wooden spoon.

  • Step 4

Let it simmer for a while and add red chili powder, turmeric powder with a cup of water to avoid the bitter taste of burnt chilies.

  • Step 5

Add the hara masala and stir with a wooden spoon. Let it simmer on medium flame for 3-4 minutes.

  • Step 6

Add a few green chilies and salt. Let the dish simmer on medium flame for 1-2 minutes.

  • Step 7

Just before switching off the flame, add the crispy fried lady fish to green chutney and serve. You can also serve the chutney in a platter and serve crispy fried fish on top.

  • Step 8

Sprinkle garam masala and lemon juice and garnish it with crispy brown onions. Serve it with steamed white rice or brown rice.

Tips & variations
